Shanghai Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. (SIBP CNBG) is a
subsidiary of China National Biotech Group Corporation (CNBG), China
National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation. SIBP CNBG was established in
September 1949, it is the main research institution of national medical
microbiology, immunology, cell engineering, genetic engineering and
blood products, and it is a high-tech enterprise integrating the
production, study, research and marketing of biological products
recognized by the state. SIBP CNBG is one of the first batch of master
degree awarding units in biochemistry, molecular biology and pathogenic
biology, its predecessor is Shanghai Biological Products Factory, which
is directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Health.
At present, the main products of SIBP CNBG are biological products for
prevention. Measles, Mumps and Rubella combined vaccine, live, Influenza
Vaccine (Split Virion), Inactivated and Varicella Vaccine, Live have
won the titles of "key new products" of the state and Shanghai
respectively, and "famous products" in Shanghai pharmaceutical industry.
"Shangsheng" brand has won the title of "Shanghai famous trademark" for
many times.
Since the seventh five-year plan and the eighth
five-year plan, SIBP CNBG has undertaken and completed dozens of
national, provincial and ministerial scientific research tasks, such as
"863", "973", "scientific and technological support", "major new drug
creation", "major special project of infectious diseases", etc, and made
more than 100 scientific research achievements, of which more than 30
won Awards of Science and Technology Progress set by State Science and
Technology Commission, the Ministry of Health or the Shanghai
Municipality, which include the first and second prizes of national
science and technology, the second and third prizes of Shanghai science
and technology, and the top ten independent innovation of Shanghai. Over
the past few decades, SIBP CNBG has maintained friendly exchanges with
more than 20 countries and regions such as the United States, the
Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Egypt, Brazil and Cuba, and has carried
out technical exchanges and trade cooperation.
